Gingerbread Biscuits
Ingredients:
175g self-raising flour
115g soft brown sugar
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
60g butter
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp golden syrup
1 egg
Method:
Place the flour, baking soda, ground ginger in a bowl and mix.
In a second bowl, combine the butter, brown sugar, golden syrup and egg together.
Add the dry ingredients to the second bowl and form a sticky dough.
Wrap in cling film and place in the fridge for about 1 hour.
Pre-heat the oven to 180C/Gas mark 4.
Remove the film and start rolling out and cutting in the shape of men.
Place the biscuit men onto a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Place in the oven for 15-20 minutes.
Once cooled, start icing the mixture with coloured icing pens.
